ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the KB Kickball League ("the League"), I acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:
1. Assumption of Risk
Kickball involves inherent risks including but not limited to: sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, contusions, collisions with other participants or objects, and other injuries. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees.
2. Release of Liability
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the League, its organizers, captains, sponsors, field owners, and any affiliated persons (collectively "Releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by me while participating in League activities.
3. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs they may incur due to my participation.
4. Medical Treatment
I authorize League organizers to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to consent, and I agree to be financially responsible for any such treatment.
5. Fitness to Participate
I represent that I am in good health and physically able to participate, and I am not aware of any condition that would increase my risk of injury.
LEAGUE RULES — PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
By signing below, I agree to abide by the following rules:
- Respect — Treat all players, captains, referees, and field staff with respect. Zero tolerance for harassment, slurs, or discriminatory behavior.
- Sportsmanship — No fighting. No arguing with refs beyond a polite question. Decisions are final.
- Alcohol — Drinking on the field is prohibited unless expressly permitted by the venue. No one visibly intoxicated may play.
- Attendance — Notify your captain if you cannot attend a game. Excessive no-shows may result in removal.
- Field etiquette — Clean up after yourself. No glass. No pets on the field without prior approval.
- Equipment — Appropriate athletic footwear required. No metal cleats.
- Gameplay — Follow the posted rulebook. Intentional dangerous play (headshots, aggressive sliding into fielders, etc.) results in ejection.
- Ejection — Players ejected for violent conduct may be banned from future events at the organizer's sole discretion.
MEDIA RELEASE
I grant the League permission to use photographs and video footage taken at League events for promotional purposes, including social media, without compensation.
